Possibilities

A lot of music production is limited to the availability of instruments you've got in your inventory. Though major vst-hosts already have a stock of vst(i)'s in their list already, you'll always find yourself missing out on particular possibilities to manoeuvre your sounds through the ever changing soundscape.

On instruments already created:

I've already made hundreds of vst(i), though, as I've been busy for over 10 years now, the old plugins aren't that useful for other people. Many of them have been created during the process of producing a track and needing a tool quickly, not taking care of any 'official' dealings with cc numbering or naming correctly, a lot even lack the least decent visuals.

Though the last couple of years, the architecture of the engines became much more stable and third-party-user friendly. Since then, I've been busy on producing a whole line of both simple and complex virtual instruments to be able to cover almost any part of the sound spectrum. At the moment (end of 2013) I'm finishing up several sequencers for both drums, chord generation, melody generation and arpeggiators. Also several synthesizers are coming up, featuring patch-morphing, phase-distortion, thru-zero lineair, logaritmic and exponential FM (even without root-frequency-loss!), several kinds of wave-additive/subtractive(like)-synthesis, unison and pan-spreading. Sounds ranging from simple to complex&heavy drums (several kicks, snares, hihats, cymbals, noise generators). And to combine this all together, a whole list of panning modules, delays, reverbs, chorus's (chori?), phasers, distortions, compressors/limiters/attenuators, retriggers/manglers/shufflers are already on the menu.

future

On instruments to come:

As I'm just a complete nut job, I also do not accept any limitations on possibilities.

The line of instruments (from here also called 'modules') to come are build in modular fashion. Though several synthesizers with a complex structure, combining several modules together will see daylight, the aim of the undertaking is to produce products with as much connectivity-possibilities as possible. For example, the drum, chord, arpeggiator and control sequencers, will come independently from each other as well as independent from synthesis-cores. The synthesis cores will be "small" synthesizers allowing you to generate a wide variety of sounds, which can then later be altered by independent effects.Though each module will be capable of being in self-control, several midi-controller modules are/will be created to be able to control several together externally.

it's your ('s)

If you're the one with the idea..

I'm always open to ideas and suggestions to improve my instruments or to create new, original instruments which have never seen daylight before. if you're in need of a certain specialised tool in your sound production, you're always free to contact me. You never know, but you might have it within half an hour...

creation

Virtual Instruments are created with Synthedit

All vst(i)'s by SirSickSik are created using synthedit, which itself is a creation by the great Jeff McClintock and his team (Jeff himself supported by his loving family). To which I of course have to be thankful for providing this wonderful vst-development environment. Vst(i) is a trademark of steinberg, I'm not using cubase or any of their plugins, but it I think I should mention it..

Other people to be blessed are the synthedit third-party-module-developers, with special thanks to some as their modules are used throughout a lot of my projects:

Chris Kerry, Daz Disley, Dave Haupt and Kelly Lynch. I thank them a lot for their cooperation with the synthedit community!

Of course, I need a living also

If it is, by any chance, a fact, that you might be some sort of serious employer who stubled upon this website and who also might have a bit of interest in some mutual cooperation, then please, allow me to ask you to invite me to a kind of a application. Thank you for your wonderful time to read even the last couple of words.
